스투디야의 두 번째 단체전 <해부학>은 20세기 프랑스 철학자 모리스 메를로 퐁티의 사상을 바탕으로 인간과 인체의 예술적 표현을 탐구한다. 메를로 퐁티는 그의 저서 《지각의 현상학》 (Phenomenology of Perception)에서 인체를 단순한 생물학적 기계가 아닌 세계와 소통하는 주체로 보았다. 그는 인체를 “살아 있는 몸”으로 묘사하며, 우리의 경험과 지각의 중심에 있다고 주장했다. “몸은 단순히 존재하는 것이 아니라,세계를 열어주는 창문이다”라는 그의 말은 몸이 물리적 객체를 넘어서 세계를 이해하고 경험하는 주체적 매개체임을 강조한다.
그의 이러한 철학적 통찰은 현대 예술가들에게 큰 영감을 주었으며, 이번 전시에서 또한 그 철학적 기초를 제공하고 있다. 인체는 고유한 사적 구조로 형성되어 있으며, 내적 경험과 외부 세계, 주관적 인식과 객관적 현실 사이의 연결고리 역할을 한다. 이번 전시에서 김서현우, 채본, 영, 라움콘, 안종우, 이고르 르보비치 6인의 작가들은 다양한 매체를 통해 인체의 물리적 형상 뿐만 아니라, 인체가 지닌 철학적, 심리적, 사회적 의미를 탐구한다.
Anatomy.
Studiya's second group exhibition ‘Anatomy’ draws on the ideas of 20th century French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty to explore human beings and artistic representations of the human body. In his book Phenomenology of Perception, Merleau-Ponty saw the human body as an entity that interacts with the world rather than a mere biological machine. He described the human body as a 'living body' and argued that it is at the centre of our experience and perception. His statement that "The body does not just exist, it is a window to the world." emphasises that the body is more than a physical object, but a subjective medium through which we understand and experience the world.
His philosophical insights have greatly inspired contemporary artists and provide the philosophical basis for this exhibition. The human body is designed as a unique private structure and serves as a link between internal experience and the external world, subjective perception and objective reality. In this exhibition, six artists - KimSeoHyunWoo, Chevvon, Young, Laumkon, Jongwoo Ahn and Egor Lvovich - explore not only the physical form of the human body, but also its philosophical, psychological and social meanings through various media.
